Tattoo Removal Is An Ever Growing Need

Tattoos are extremely popular in today's society but what most people may not see "under-the-radar" is that for every person that gets a tattoo in today's time there is also someone wanting to get their tattoo or tattoos removed. There are many different reasons why people are now wanting their tattoos removed. It could be because it's interfering with a new relationship that they've developed or it could be keeping them from getting that job that requires you not to have any visible tattoos and the list goes on. If you've happened upon this site today, chances are that you fit in the category of people that want their tattoo removed and you're doing some research on the best way to go about getting your tattoo removed.

There are 4 basic methods or procedures to getting a tattoo removed. They are: dermabrasion, Laser Tattoo removal, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy) and the Do-It-Yourself way- this method is basically referring to tattoo removal creams that you can buy online or at your local grocery store and then a completely, all natural way that is both safe and cost-effective and was discovered by a professional tattoo artist that decided he didn't want his tattoos anymore (more on this later). Let's go over what each procedure consists of and maybe this will help you make a more informed decision on how to go about getting your tattoo removed.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is one of the earlier forms of tattoo removal and in my opinion it's absolutely inhumane. This procedure is basically done by sanding or "peeling" away the top layers of skin with a special rotary sanding tool in order to get down to the layer of skin that has the ink embedded in it. Sounds like tons of fun huh? The skin then grows back over the wound and in result makes the tattoo "fade". This is done in 3 or 4 sessions until the tattoo is almost gone or completely faded away. The bad thing about this procedure is for one it's extremely painful and it can also leave permanent scarring to the skin and also leave permanent discoloration to the area that's been treated. Definitely should be one of your last resorts if at all. If you choose to undergo this procedure make sure that you schedule your procedures at a time that you can be at home for a few days to recover. Also keep in mind not to take aspirin or any other medication that will thin your blood. If you take prescription blood thinners make sure that your doctor knows this so that they can take the necessary steps to keep you as safe as possible.

Laser Therapy Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is quick becoming one of the most popular  methods for removing a tattoo today. It's one of the better methods (or so you think). This method is pretty self explanatory as in it uses a laser to remove that tattoo (hence the name laser tattoo removal). Laser therapy was once only used to remove unwanted body hair and to treat different conditions of the veins but within the past several years it's become a very popular method for people who no longer want their tattoos. Laser tattoo removal can be pretty pricey especially for people with larger tattoos that they want removed. This procedure also carries some serious risks with it as well. The laser usually burns your skin which causes it to blister which is obviously painful and can also lead to permanent scars where the tattoo once was and it can also leave permanent discoloration of the skin. The procedure itself can also be very uncomfortable or just downright painful to the patient. People who have undergone this procedure have likened it to feeling like someone popping you over and over again in the same spot with a rubber band. After so many times of being popped in the same area it really starts to get painful right?

(IPL) Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy is a fairly new method for tattoo removal and is very similar to laser tattoo removal because it also uses a broad spectrum of highly intensified pulses of light to burn down to the layer of skin with the ink. It then breaks up or "fragments" the ink which is then flushed out by the body naturally. IPL isn't as painful as laser therapy but it's also way more expensive. Some places charge their patients up to $10 per pulse of light! If you have a larger tattoo to be removed this is definitely not the way to go. It usually takes 3 to 4 sessions of this as well to get the desired results. The risks involved with IPL are the same as laser therapy. It can burn you which will leave blisters and the blisters can leave to scars or permanent discoloration of the area treated.

Do-It-Yourself Tattoo Removal

The DIY method is quickly on the rise to be the most popular methods of tattoo removal. Why? Because it's cheaper than all the rest and can be done in the comfort of ones home. Be careful though because this method usually involves removal creams that you can easily order online or buy at you local grocery store and these creams carry their own risks as well that the unsuspecting user may be prone too. Many of the tattoo removal creams remove tattoos by using TCA which is a form of acid. And we all know what acid can do to you. It can BURN you and it can burn you bad if you're not careful. Even to the point of permanent disfigurement if you're not careful.

The other way that I mentioned earlier at the very front of this site is the new breakthrough way that was discovered by a professional tattoo artist- Jason Carter. Jason used to not have any desire to have his tattoos removed until his long-time girlfriend broke up with him. He had her name tattooed on his chest and on his legs. He wanted her name removed from his body completely so he set out to do just that. Being the professional tattoo artist that he is and knowing the insider secrets that comes with just about every profession or trade- he knew of a natural way to remove unwanted tattoos. He never had to put it to use until his girlfriend broke up with him. So after she broke up with him he put his knowledge to use on himself and it worked! Tattoo removed, gone, no more to be seen. And the best thing is that it was completely safe, natural, and very cost-effective. It ran him only about $15 per month for about 3 months until his tattoos completely disappeared.
